Ministries
Empowering women and children to break the cycles of poverty, hopelessness, and violence.
Ephesians 3:20-21 — "Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen."
Who we are
Five Plus Two Ministries is a registered NPC and PBO based in Hartbeespoort, established on the firm belief that God is the source of all restoration and provision. Our name is a testament to the biblical miracle of the five loaves and two fish — a reminder that when we offer what little we have into the hands of the Father, He is able to do superabundantly more than we could ask or think.
Our primary mission is to be the hands and feet of Christ, assisting women and children in difficult circumstances to break the cycles of poverty, hopelessness, and violence.
In 2017, we founded our sub-organisation, Zoé House, in response to a growing need for pregnant women and single mothers in crisis. Through the grace of God, we provide a safe and nurturing environment where women can heal, grow, and build independence.
Through every life touched and every cycle broken, we seek only to honor Him, trusting that He will continue to multiply our efforts to reach those most in need.
Our impact
What we do
For over 16 years we have collected, packed, and distributed food across Hartbeespoort. A R100 bag of nutritious instant porridge provides 50 meals — just R2 per meal.
We supply formula, diapers, and clothing to single mothers, plus second-hand essentials like car seats and strollers for those who need them most.
Over five years we have supported 6 matriculants and many school-aged children — finding scholarships, career opportunities, or supporting those who enter the workforce.
We sponsor enrollment in after-school care where children receive homework help and a nutritious daily meal. We currently support 17 children through this program.
Our annual September event offers women in difficult circumstances a full day of hope — featuring inspirational speakers, food, and bags filled with essential toiletries.
After 12 successful events since 2006, each child receives a Bible-verse t-shirt, a KFC meal, and a bucket of sweets. Every child deserves to feel loved and celebrated.
Lives transformed
Zoé Huis saved my life in many ways. From coming here as a very broken and scared woman, I am now an independent working single parent raising my two boys. They truly empower so many lives — from ashes to beauty.
Zoé House has been a blessing for me and my daughter Zendaya. I was overwhelmed and vulnerable as a new mother, but they showed us the support and safety we needed.
Destroyed and without hope, my 4 children and I arrived at Zoé House. Today I stand on my own feet and have good work. Every moment in Zoé House is a blessing from God.
